Life of 3.14

The hope is not in what happens but in how we feel regardless of what happens. Sakeenah, tranquillity, isn’t in the absence of chaos. It’s in the midst of it. We hope that regardless of how bad things get or how difficult things seem, Allaah will transmute what’s before us and what’s around us and grant us inner peace during it all.

Allaah isn’t bound in any way, shape or form by time or space, nor does He operate linearly. You don’t have to get how it all will happen, but just focus on what you want to feel and surrender the how to Allaah.

هُوَ الَّذِي أَنزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ فِي قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لِيَزْدَادُوا إِيمَانًا مَّعَ إِيمَانِهِمْ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا

He it is Who sent down As-sakinah (calmness and tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they may grow more in Faith along with their (present) Faith. And to Allaah belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth, and Allaah is Ever All-Knower, All-Wise.
